How about SR/SS in plan? This could be linked to airfeild TAFs.

This isn't something we very often get requests for, so I'm curious to discover the utility value. Would you want it displayed on an airfield plate? How would it be useful displayed in connection with a TAF?
Cheers!

Most aviation gps units have this feature. Its useful if:
1. You want to be sure to arrive before dark.
2. You don't mind whether you are flying in the dark, but want to know how much night to record in your logbook.

Mostly for ensure the night flying requirements. I suppose it would be best in plog or indeed as one of your warnings if either the planned dep/arr times were during the hours of darkness.
In particular, whilst we are in the night flying season it would be nice to know when we can legally call things 'night'.

It would also be useful if the screen dimmed or changed to night colours during the night too.
